Wilford J. Boice

WALTON — Wilford J. Boice, 89, of RD3, Box 330, Loomis Brook Road, Walton, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 26, 1999, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1910, in the town of Tompkins to June Charles and Lida (Schultes) Boice.
He married Julia Loomis on Oct. 7, 1935, in the Baptist Parsonage in Deposit, who predeceased him on Jan. 14, 1997.
He was member of the Trout Creek Community Church, a retired dairy farmer and a truck driver for Ben Reynolds Construction Co. up to the age of 85. He formerly performed field work for the ASCS for Delaware and surrounding counties and was an agent and director of the Chenango County Mutual Insurance Co. of Norwich.
Wilford is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Reynolds of Walton; a son, June R. Boice of Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren, Arthur Reynolds, Kenneth Reynolds and Julie Parish; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; also several cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at 1 p.m. at Trout Creek Community Church, with the Rev. Allen Bujno, pastor of First Baptist Church of Walton, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
