Dr. Talbut Rites Held

Hartwick---Funeral services for Dr. Blaine I. Talbut of White House, Ohio, were held Sunday in Maxwell Funeral Home, Hartwick, the Rev. Theodore Kohinke, of the Congregational-Christian Church, Hartwick, officiating.

Bearers were B. H. Talbut, Richard Talbut, Paul Cheshere, B. Cheshere, Thomas Smart and James Smart.

Friends and relatives attending from away were from Newark, N. J., Toledo, Ohio, White House, Ohio, New York City, Utica, Sidney, Norwich, Unadilla, Kingston, Milford, Stittsville, Cooperstown, Burlington Flats, Leonardsville, Oneonta, West Oneonta, and New Lisbon.

The service at the funeral home was preceded by a prayer service at the home of Mrs. Josephine Talbut, in order that Mrs. Mary Talbut, mother of Dr. Talbut, might attend, her age and health precluding her attendance at the afternoon service. This prayer service was conducted by the Rev. George Smith, pastor of the Leonardsville Methodist Church.

Acting bearers were Melvin Talbut, Fred Jones, Dan Ward, Robert McKennan, Richard Talbut and B. H. Talbut.
