Mrs. Mary Talbut Rites Conducted (1860-1955)

Hartwick---Funeral of Mrs. Mary E. Talbut, 95, who died August 21 at her home on Main Street, where she had lived since coming to Hartwick 28 years ago, was held Wednesday at the Congregational-Christian Church of which she had been a member 79 years.

The Rev. Sterling Weatherall, Vernon Center assisted by the Rev. Theodore Kohinke Jr., Preble, a former pastor of the Hartwick Church, officiated. The Rev. Alfred Bentall, Oneonta, presided at the organ. Burial in the Hartwick Cemetery.

Bearers were: Dr. Benjamin H. Talbut, Toledo, Ohio; Dr. Dorrance C. Talbut, Whitehouse, Ohio; Richard Talbut, and Mevin Talbut, Leonardsville; D. H. Mack, Hartwick, and Paul Cheshire, New York City.

Aside from relatives from away, friends attended from Cooperstown, Burlington Flats, Unadilla, Oneonta, Milford, Norwich, and West Oneonta.
