DEATH OF JAMES
TERRY
------------------
Respected
Resident of New Lisbon Dies on Tuesday.
New Lisbon,
Nov. 28---James Terry, a well known and much respected resident of
this township, died at the family home at 10 o'clock this morning
after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. The funeral services will
be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at his late home. Rev. J. C. Calhoun of
the Untied Presbyterian church of Garrattsville will officiate and
interment will be in the family plot in Hillington cemetery at
Morris.
The deceased
was a son of James and Louisa Terry and was born about 69 years ago
in Pittsfield. His home, however, had for many years been in New
Lisbon, of which he was a prominent and leading citizen. He was a
member of the United Presbyterian church at Garrattsville and his
entire life was evidence of the sincerity of this faith.
The surviving
members of his family are his wife and daughter, Annie, who had
faithfully cared for him in his last illness, and one sister, Mrs.
Lenora Stanhouse of Oneonta. In their bereavement many friends will
sorrow with the afflicted family.
