John Telfer of Burlington Dies at Age
of Ninety-Two

Hartwick, Sept. 7—John Telfer, 92
years old, one of the oldest residents of Burlington, died Saturday
night at 8 o'clock, at the home of his son, Kenneth, at Burlington
Green.
Private funeral services will be held
from the home Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Calhoun, pastor at
the Presbyterian church at Garratsville, officiating. Interment will
be in the Burlington Green cemetery.
The deceased was a native of the town
of Burlington and until two years ago had resided on the farm where
he was born. He was of Scotch descent. His wife, formerly Miss
Amelia Telfer, died several years ago.
The surviving relatives are the son
above mentioned and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Shillieto, Burlington
Green, and Mrs. Arthur Richards, Burlington Flats.
