Saunders, Gilbertsville, Dies
Gilbertsville---Charles J. Saunders died Thursday at Chase
hospital, New Berlin. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Moore
funeral home here. Rev. Ernest Vanderburgh will officiate. Burial
will be in Brookside cemetery.
Mr. Saunders was born Sept. 30, 1862, in Unadilla, son of Adrian
and Mary Ann (Spencer) Saunders. He married Nellie Wright and was
for many years a farmer in the town of Butternuts. For several
years, Mr. Saunders had made his home with a son, Lloyd, at Morris.
Surviving are three other sons, Glenn, Garrattsville, Archie,
Gilbertsville, and Orla, New York City; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Card,
Garrattsville, and a brother Fred, Gilbertsville.
