OBITUARY

GERTRUDE C. SANDERSON
Mrs. Gertrude C. Sanderson, 92, formerly of Morris, died October 18, 1972 in the Ratchiffe Nursing Home , Laurens, following a long illness. She was born November 6, 1879 in Morris, daughter of Albert N. and Amelia (Hall) Cruttenden.
She married November 17, 1897 to William W. Sanderson, who died January 4, 1929.
Surviving are: one son, Albert LeGrand Sanderson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Marjorie) Bartholmay of Lake Delta, N. Y.; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; also one nephew, Ralph N. Aplin of Morris.
Mrs. Sanderson was a member of Zion Episcopal Church, Morris; past matron of Jewell Chapter, O. E. S., Morris. She was a past president of the Butternut Valley Garden Club, a member of the New York State Historical Association and the Kenyon Free Library Association.
She was a 64-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a past Regent of Tianderah Chapter in Gilbertsville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 21 from the Zion Church in Morris with Rev. William E. Matthers, rector, officiating. Burial was made in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
