Mrs. Mary Naylor Dies at Mr. Vision

Mt. Vision,
April 9---Mrs. Mary Naylor, whose death occurred at her home Tuesday
night, was born November 30, 1864. Death was caused by pneumonia.
She had been in poor health for the last three years, and had been
tenderly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Naylor, and daughter, Mrs. Courtney Hoose.
She was the
youngest child and only daughter of Thomas and Nancy (Kendall)
Wilcox. She spent her early life near South Hartwick. She taught
school in the neighboring schools for several terms. September 24,
1885, she married Elmer A. Naylor, and began keeping house near Fall
Bridge. They moved to this village 42 years ago and had since
resided in the same home.
Thirty years
ago they went into the store business, which she had operated since
the death of her husband 29 years ago this April.
To them were
born four children, Bertha, Mable, Herbert and Lynn, who died in
infancy.
She is survived
by one daughter, Mrs. Courtney Hoose; a son, Herbert; 10
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was a loving and
kind neighbor and will be missed in the community as well as by the
family.
