Walton Woman Dies at 81
Walton---Mrs.
Inez Boice Harby, 81, a retired businesswoman, died about 1:30 p. m.
yesterday in her home, 3 William St.
The funeral
will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in Christ Episcopal Church, Walton with
the Rev. Victor O. Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Walton
Cemetery. Friends may call until Tuesday noon at Clark funeral Home.
Mrs. Harby was
born Feb. 22, 1869, at Loomis, daughter of Josiah and Margaret
(Vannakin) Boice, and was married May 24, 1899, to Platt R. Harby in
New York City. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and
resided most of her life in Walton. For many years she operated a
millinery and women's apparel shop here, retiring in 1931.
Besides her
husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. L. E. Sahlin,
Rockville Center, L. I., Mrs. E. F. Flock, Chevy Chase, Md., Mrs. W.
P. Courtney, Walton; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
