Death of A. E. Jackson Caused by
Heart Disease

E. Jackson of 18 Harrison Avenue, aged 60, who had been ill since
Jan. 8 with heart disease, succumbed at 2:50 yesterday morning at his
home. The funeral will be held from the residence Saturday at 2,
with Rev. Roger B. Glazier of Elm Park Methodist church officiating
and burial in the cemetery at Brick Schoolhouse, Garrattsville. Mr.
Jackson was born at New Lisbon Center, Feb. 12, 1880, son of Amasa
and Isabel Jackson, and married Miss Georgianna Mead at Edmeston,
June 23, 1914. They made their home in Oneonta nearly 30 years,
coming here from Garrattsville. Mr. Jackson drove the Grand Union
Tea company delivery wagon here 10 years, then worked 15 years as a
dyer for the Quality Silk mill on East street, and three years for
the town of Oneonta. He was a member of the Keystone Bible class at
Elm Park church.
Surviving are:
Mrs. Jackson; two sons, Adrian and Elwyn Jackson, at home; two
sisters, Mrs. Clarence Hickling and Mrs. Ivah Garlock, and a brother,
Willis Jackson, all of Garrattsville; and several nieces and nephews.
They will have the sympathy of many friends.
