Frank Ladd Dies at Hospital

The death of Frank Ladd, widely known and nearly a life-long resident of the town of Burlington, occurred at the Mary Imogene Bassett hospital at Cooperstown, early Monday morning from heart trouble.
He removed from Burlington to Garrattsville a few years ago, where he resided until the past winter, when in failing health he went to the home of Dwight Stone near Edmeston, where he was taken to the hospital.
Undertaker Clarence Houck of Edmeston went for the body and removed it to the undertaking parlors at Edmeston.
It is understood that Edmeston Masons will have charge of the funeral arrangements as Mr. Ladd leaves no near relatives and was a member of the Masonic lodge at Edmeston.
He was 73 years old. An artist of unexcelled skill, many places in the Butternut valley have some of his beautiful decorations. He possessed an unusual witty and cheerful disposition, making lasting friendships with those with whom he came in contact.
