PLATTSBURGH---Mrs.
Christina C. Duroe, 89, of Plattsburgh died Monday, Nov. 5, at
Highland Nursing Home, Massena.
She was born July 5, 1895, in Laurens, the daughter
of John and Hannah (Birch) Cranston. She was married to Francis J.
Duroe, who died in 1972.
She was a teacher at the Morris Central School,
retiring several years ago.
She was a past matron of the Morris O. E. S., a
member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association, and a
member and former Sunday School superintendent of the Morris United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, John C. Duroe of
Chateaugay; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Jane Gobel of Apalachin; four
grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Nov. 10, at the Morris United Methodist Church.
There will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are by the O'Neil-Redden-Drown
Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
