Elizabeth 1868-1932 Edmeston Obituary
Jennie Hurlbutt,
widow of the late William Elliott, died at the family home near
Garrattsville Sunday morning, after a few days' illness with
pneumonia. She was born, February 5, 1868, in the town of
Pittsfield, a daughter of Lealand and Elizabeth (Gill) Hurlbutt.
After her marriage to William Elliott, they resided for a time on
Gill hill, but for many years have lived on the farm where she died.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Garrattsville for many
years. Surviving are one son, Ned Elliott who resides on the home
farm; a sister, Mrs. Adella Garlick of Chicago, and two
grandchildren. Owing to the illness of her son and grandson the
funeral will be private. It will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock at
her late home. Rev. E. E. Hutchinson of Morris will officiate.
Interment will be beside her husband in Hillington cemetery at
Morris.

Funeral Services Are Held for Mrs. Elliott
Edmeston, March 2 --- Private funeral services for
Mrs. Jennie Elizabeth Elliott of New Lisbon were held yesterday from
the residence of her son, Edward H. Elliott of that village. Rev.
E. E. Hutchinson of Morris officiated, and burial was made in
Hillington cemetery, Morris.
Mrs. Elliott died Saturday night, after a week's
illness with pneumonia. Her husband, William Elliott, died about
11 years ago. Recently she had made her home with her son.
She was born at New Lisbon February5, 1868, the
daughter of Leland and Elizabeth Hurlbutt. Her entire life was spent
in the towns of Pittsfield and New Lisbon. Her marriage to William
Elliott took place in 1890.
Surviving relatives are: The son previously
mentioned; a sister, Mrs. Adella L. Garlick of Chicago, Ill., and
two grandchildren, Donald and Maxine Elliott.
