Boice, William Frank 1944-2009 Delhi Obituary
William F. "Bill" Boice DELHI _ William F. "Bill" Boice,
65, of Delhi, passed on, Friday, May 1, 2009, at Bassett Hospital,
Cooperstown.
The son of the late Zeland P. and Rosie Lee (Harden)
Boice, he was born April 8, 1944, in New Berlin, received his education
at Morris Central School, and enlisted in the Navy (1962 to 1966).
A
40-year Delhi resident, Bill was a heavy equipment operator with the
Delaware County Highway Department for 35 years, and enjoyed hunting,
fishing, motorcycles, attending auctions and bingo.
Surviving are
his wife, Darlene (Bouton) Boice; two sons, Michael J. (Michele) and
Mark A. (Jolene) Boice; stepdaughter, Betty Jean Nixdorf; eight
grandchildren; sister, Candee Hasbrouck; brother, Zeland S. Boice; five
brothers-in-law, Richard (Beverly), Ronald and Allan (Rosemary)
Alwine, Arthur (Chris) and Lloyd (Sabrina) Bouton; father-in-law,
Charles (Marian) Calhoun; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends
are invited to call at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Hall & Peet
Funeral Home, Delhi, where services will follow at 3 p.m., with the
Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial will be later in Woodland Cemetery.
