Harrington Passes Away at County Hospital
Hartwick, Feb. 26---Delos Harrington, 76 years old,
a well-known citizen of this town, died at the county hospital this
afternoon from the effects of a shock which he suffered Sunday.
Funeral services will be held from the Hartwick Christian church on
Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. R. C. Upright will
officiate. The body will be placed in the Hartwick vault and burial
will take place in the spring.
Mr. Harrington was well-known in this village and
enjoyed a wide circle of friends. For more than 40 years he engaged
in the meat business, and at one time was employed in the markets of
Cassius Mattison, M. B. Slighter and Webb Chamberlain.
The deceased is survived by one son; one brother,
John B. Harrington of Long Island, and one sister, Mrs. Eunice
Thorpe of New Lisbon, besides several grandchildren.
