Lisbon, March 17---Death from pneumonia claimed its second victim in
the same home within less than three days, when Allen G. Brimmer
passed away at his home here at 5 o'clock yesterday morning at the
age of 48.
Allen Gardner Brimmer was born on the Gardner
homestead but at a short distance from his own home, the oldest son
of Albert and Julia Gardner Brimmer. He was widely known and highly
esteemed as strictly honest and upright in all his dealings with his
fellow men. His early demise causes profound regret to all.
He leaves his wife, formerly Lula Rouse; one son
Jesse, and a brother, LaSelle Brimmer; several cousins. His mother
died Sunday. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 o'clock at the
late residence. Rev. Clyde J. Hurlbutt, pastor of the Mr. Vision
Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Vision.
Many friends and relatives attended the funeral of Allen
G. Brimmer, held at his late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Rev. Clyde J. Hurlbutt of Mr. Vision officiated. There was a
beautiful display of flowers given by family and friends and a piece
from the Morris High school, of which his son, Jesse, attends.
Friends from out of town who attended were: Mr. and
Mrs. Sylvester Rouse, George Rouse, Mr. Alpha Rouse and Mr. and
Mrs. Hervy Wright of West Oneonta.
