Pearl Bennett
ROXBURY---Mrs. Pearl Bennett, 94, died August 3 at
Delhi Infirmary after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller
Funeral Home, Roxbury, with the Rev. William O. Homer, rector of
St. John's Episcopal Church, Delhi, officiating. Burial will be in
Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville.
Mrs. Bennett was born July 26, 1876, in Cincinnati,
Ohio, daughter of Andrew J. and Mary (Rapp) Philhour. She was
married to Benjamin Bennett Feb. 15, 1893 at Lamarr, Mo. He died in
1952.
She was a resident of Bloomville from 1920 to 1942,
and of Roxbury for 25 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Florence E.
Bennett, Stamford; a granddaughter, Mrs. Mildred L. Bouton,
Stamford; three grandsons, Howard Slater, Melrose, L.I.;
Truman Slater, Ft. Plain; Charles Slater, Pine Hill; four great
grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; a step sister, Mrs.
Nona Bohos, New York City and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home at their
convenience. The family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
