UNADILLA---Lester G. Wilson, of Bridge Street, Unadilla, a retired
farmer, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 8, 1968, at Unadilla.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 12, at the Unadilla
United Methodist Church, with Rev. George Kramer, Jr., pastor
officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.
Mr. Wilson was born January 15, 1889, in New Lisbon, a son of
George and Margaret (Bennington) Wilson. He married Myrtle Peck on
July 2, 1913, in Unadilla.
He had lived in Unadilla for 14 years and formerly operated a farm
at Garrattsville. At the time of his death he was a maintenance man
for the Unadilla United Methodist Church and also for the Unadilla
Post Office.
He was a member of the Ouleanna Grange, Seventh Degree, and the
Official Board of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Hilts; a
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Grace B. Wilson; seven grandchildren; a
niece, Mrs. Ray Parker, New Berlin RD; three grand-nieces; a
brother -in-law, William Bennington, Garrattsville.
