Unadilla, June 6 --- A pretty June wedding was solemnized Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock in St. Matthew's Episcopal church when Miss Dorothy Mae Vroman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vroman, and William Kehr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kehr of Unadilla, were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Yale Lyon in the presence of the immediate families and close friends.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was charming in a gown of blue lace with white accesssories and her flowers were pink roses. Her attendant was Mrs. Erwin Greve, a sister of the groom, who was attired in a gown of pink crepe with white accessories and her bouquet was yellow and pink snapdragons, John Vroman, Jr., brother of the bride, was best man.

Mrs. Belle T. Loomis presided at the organ, playing before and during the ceremony, “To a Wild Rose” and “Promise Me.”

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for about 40 guests. Ten were seated at the beautifully decorated bride's table, and small tables were placed for the other guests. Favors were pink, and the floral decorations were white lilacs, lilies of the valley, pinksters and pink tulips. Miss Virginia Whitaker and Miss Beth Benedict, friends of the bride, served the wedding supper.

Mrs. Kehr is a graduate of the Unadilla High school and from Charles Wilson Memorial hospital of Johnson City. Mr. Kehr is also a graduate of the Unadilla High school and the Simmons school of Embalming and Undertaking of Syracuse. Both are popular young people of this village and to them will be extended the best wishes of a host of friends. They will reside for the present at the home of the bride's parents. This morning they left for a motor trip through the New England states.

They were the recipients of many gifts, which included money; crystal, linen and silk bedding.

Unadilla, June 27---Miss Grace Leila DeForest, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen A. DeForest, and Lawrence V. Shields were married Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Unadilla Friends' church. Rev. H. M. Vore performed the ceremony in the presence of near relatives and friends.

Preceding the ceremony Roscoe Wright sang, “I Love You Truly.” The bridal party entered the church to the strains of Wagner's wedding march, played by Miss Dorothy Hendricks, sister of the groom. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Addison DeForest, the former an uncle of the bride.

The bride was charmingly attired in a gown of white dotted swiss with white accessories and carried a bouquet of pink roses and baby's breath. Her matron of honor wore peach silk organdy, with white accessories, and carried sweet-peas.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, after which Mr. and Mrs. Shields left for a wedding trip through the New England states. The bride's traveling outfit was a blue swagger suit with blue slippers and hat to match.

Mrs. Shields is a graduate of the Unadilla High school and of the Perry Business school. For the past three years she has been engaged in transporting children to the Unadilla Central school. Mr. Shields is a graduate of the Unadilla High school and Unadilla Teachers' Training class and the Oneonta Normal. For the ensuing year he will teach at the Unadilla Central school.

After September they will be at home to their many friends in the house of Martin Brook street recently purchased by the bride's father.

Both are highly respected young people of this community and will have the good wishes of a wide circle of friends. They received many beautiful and useful gifts, which included money, a kitchen cabinet, a mahogany desk, table linen and bedding.

Unadilla—Nelson S. Naylor, 75, died early Wednesday morning at his home in this community.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Federated Church. The Rev. Archie Benedict, former pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.

Mr. Naylor was born in Laurens on Dec. 1, 1873, the son of George and Caroline (Eldred) Naylor. On Nov. 29, 1898, he married Mary Tillson at Morris. He had been a resident of Laurens until he moved here 15 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Miss Anna Naylor, Unadilla; a sister, Mrs. James Farrington, DeWitt, Iowa, and two nephews, Dr. Howard Naylor and John C. Naylor, both of Morris.

A. Rich. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Loomis of Unadilla. The bride, a graduate of Unadilla High school, has been teaching several years. Mr. Gloeckler, formerly of Unadilla, for the past several years has been employed by Whitaker and Son at Sidney. Their home will be in Sidney.

Unadilla, Nov. 24---Ida W. Terwilliger, wife of Harry Hanford, passed into rest at 5:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Freedom chapter, O. E. S., of which she was conductress, will attend in a body, and conduct their burial service. Rev. Frank R. James, assisted by Rev. John T. Lyon, will be the officiating clergyman.

Mrs. Hanford was born in Kerhonksen, May 13, 1886. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Terwilliger. She was united in marriage with Harry Hanford 17 years ago. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Donald Wallace 16, and Robert Herman four, by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Hanford, with whom they came to live when Mr. Hanford died August 29, 1928, and who loved her as an own daughter; her father, William H. Terwilliger of Kerhonksen; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Osterhout of Accord, and five brothers, George Terwilliger of Millwood, John D. of Pleasantville, William A. of Endicott, and Edward L. and Theron D. of Kerhonksen.

Mrs. Hanford was a member of the Unadilla Methodist Episcopal church and of Freedom chapter, O. E. S. She was an ideal wife, mother and daughter, always happy and cheerful in her home life, doing her part in home, church and society. She bore her suffering of months, without a murmur and never gave up while it was possible for her to do something for others.

The family has the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends, that one so young, so capable and so cheerful must leave, when it seemed as though she was so much needed, and so ready and willing to do for others.

Tractor Victim Dies at Sidney

Unadilla---LaVerne Johnson died yesterday morning at Sidney Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a tractor accident May 25.

Born March 23, 1910, in Norwich, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jed Johnson, he was married April 18, 1931, in Unadilla to Bernice Stanley. He also is survived by two children, Patricia and Richard, Sidney; his parents: five brothers, Dr. Seth Johnson of Ithaca, Dr. Sam Johnson of Kimber Hook, Dr. Morris Johnson of Hudson, Ray Johnson of Gilbertsville and Robert Johnson of Hudson; three sisters, Mrs. S.W. Utely of Kinder Hook, Mrs. Floyd Stanley of New York City and Mrs. George Winn of Atlantic City, N. J.

Most of his life had been spent in Unadilla. He was a member of the Odd Fellows here and the Unadilla Grange.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Joyce Funeral Parlors. The Rev. Wilton J. Dubrick of Sidney Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.

Unadilla, March 7---The wedding of Miss Mildred Gloeckler Stearns and Fayette Burnside Sherman took place at 9 o'clock Wednesday evening in St. Matthew's Episcopal church. The ceremony which was performed by Rev. Yale Lyon, rector of that church, was witnessed by only a few of the near relatives.

After the ceremony, an informal reception was held at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Van N. Sherman. It was also the 34^th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman.

Guests from away attending the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bennett and daughter, Shirley, and son Robert, of Otego.

The bride and groom will make their home in Unadilla, and to them will be extended the best wishes of their friends.

Howard W. Smith Passed Away Friday

Howard W. Smith, 73, a well known resident of this community for many years and Unadilla Postmaster for 17 years previous to his retirement four years ago, passed away at his home on Main street at 3 a. m. last Friday. He had been in poor health for the past four years.

Mr. Smith was born November 9, 1880 in Sidney Center, the son of the late Ira and Amelia (Peet) Smith. He married Miss Anna Boice of Trout Creek, in Sidney in 1903. He operated a meat market in Sidney Center for several years, before moving to Unadilla 42 years ago, where he engaged in the lumber business for about 21 years before becoming postmaster. He was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal church of Unadilla, the BPO Elks Lodge of Oneonta, Freedom Lodge 324, F. & A. M. , and a charter member of the Unadilla Rotary Club.

Possessing a genial disposition and a kind and generous heart, Mr. Smith was held in high esteem by his many friends throughout a wide area. He was always interested and active in community affairs and a keen supporter of public enterprise.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna (Boice) Smith, of Unadilla; two sisters, Mrs. George Fowlston of Oneonta, and Mrs. Nelson Wilcox of Rochester; a brother, Rupert Smith, of Maryland, N. Y.; two grandchildren, Mrs. James Kauzlarich, of Schenectady, and Phillip Smith, with the U. S. Air Force, stationed at Andrew's Air Force Base, Washinton, D. C.; a great granddaughter, Anna Louise Kauzlarich, of Schenectady.

A Masonic service was held at the home at 7:30 p. m. Sunday by members of Freedom Lodge No. 324, F. & A. M.

Funeral services were held in St. Matthew's Episcopal church Monday at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. Alonzo L. Wood, rector, officiating. The bearers were Robert Kinch, Floyd Doolittle, Wayne Tyson, Lee Murphy, Arthur Westcott and Robert D'Imperio. Honorary bearers were Joseph Leary, Clifford Isbell, Earl Frost, Lee Starr, Edwin Weldman and Jay Bedell. Interment was made in Evergreen Hill Cemetery.

The funeral was attended by a large number of relatives and friends from many sections of the state, some coming long distances to pay their respects to their highly esteemed friend.

Roscoe B. Smith, 27, died Tuesday afternoon at his home in Unadilla, following an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Smith was born at Otego, June 1, 1907. He is survived by his parents, Postmaster and Mrs. Howard Smith, and a brother, Gerreth Smith, of Unadilla.

About three years ago Mr. Smith operated the gas station at the corner of Birdsall and East Main streets. He was a member of the Norwich lodge of Elks.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and at 2 o'clock from the Episcopal church in Unadilla.

Popular Unadilla Man Dies Following

Complications Due to Pneumonia

UNADILLA, April 17,---Roscoe Bernard Smith, 28, died at the home of his parents Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock after an illness of five weeks from complications following pneumonia.

He was born in Otego, June 1, 1907 and was the younger son of Postmaster Howard W and Anna (Boice) Smith. Nearly all his life was spent in Unadilla, moving here with his parents from Otego when he was about four years old.

He was graduated from the Unadilla High School with the class of '25. He was a member of St. Matthew's Epsicopal Church, a teacher in the church school, and for several years has been acolyte in St. Matthews. He was a member of the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club and of the Norwich Lodge, P. P. O. E.

For several years he was employed in Norwich by the Standard Oil Company, returning to Unadilla in 1932 when he became associated with his father in the lumber business. He was census enumerator for 1935 for the Town of Unadilla.

The funeral will be held Saturday with a prayer at the home at 1:30, followed by a service at St. Matthews at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Yale Lyon, rector of that church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery.

Surviving are his parents, one brother, Garreth Smith, one niece, Sally Ann; one nephew, Phillip Smith all of Unadilla; four uncles, Frank Boice of Garrattsville, George and Rupert Smith of Unadilla, Raymond Smith of Schenectady; four aunts, Mrs. N. Unadilla, April 21---The funeral of Roscoe Bernard Smith, who died at his home Tuesday, was largely attended Saturday. There was a prayer service at the home at 1:30, followed by a service at St. Matthew's Episcopal church, of which he was an active member. Rev. Yale Lyon, rector of the church, conducted the service. Burial was made in Evergreen Hill cemetery.

Unadilla, Feb. 7---Mrs. Anna Burdick, wife of George Burdick, passed away at home on Depot street Thursday evening, February 6. Mrs. Burdick had been ill with a complication of diseases from which she suffered greatly at times.

Mrs. Burdick was born in Pittsfield, July 1, 1879, the daughter of Balius and Johanna (Cook) Burdick. She was married to George Burdick 34 years ago. She had lived in this village 17 years. Before that she had always lived in Franklin and Pittsfield, Otsego county.

The funeral will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be made in Hillington cemetery, Morris. Rev. Yale Lyon will be the officiating clergyman.

Mrs. Burdick is survived by her husband, George Burdick; one son, Percy, of Middleville; one brother, Earl Burdick, of Mt. Upton, and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hickling, of New Lisbon. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal church, of Freedom chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Otse-dela Rebekah lodge, and Unadilla Council Degree of Pocahontas, and a past noble grand of the Rebekahs. She was devoted to her home and family and they held first place in her affections always ready and willing to do for them and give her best to them. In the church and organizations to which she belonged she worked many times the last few months when her frail strength had to be exerted to its utmost to be in her place when her duties called her there. Sincere sympathy is felt for her loved ones.

Mrs. Anna Burdick, wife of George Burdick, passed away at the family home Thursday night. She had been in very poor health for several months but had kept about until the last day or two. The funeral was held at the home at one o'clock Monday afternoon with burial in Hillington cemetery at Morris. Mrs. Burdick is survived by her husband, one son Percy Burdick, of Middleville, a brother, Earl Burdick of Mount Upton, and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hickling, of New Lisbon. Mrs. Burdick was the daughter of Balius and Johanna Burdick and was born in Pittsfield, July 1, 1879. After her marriage with Mr. Burdick they lived in Pittsfield and later in Franklin, coming to Unadilla severteen years ago. She attended the Episcopal church, was a member of the Eastern Star, Otse-dela Rebekahs and Unadila council, D. Q. P. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekahs and was associate matron of O.E.S.last year. The three orders attended the funeral in a body.

Unadilla, May 27---Miss Elizabeth Gregory, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Gregory of Unadilla, on June 2 will graduate as a college junior from the National Cathedral School for Girls of Washington, D. C.

Miss Gregory has been honored by the school at this commencement time. The permanent members of the student council and the faculty choose each year seven young ladies who stand first in scholarship and general ability to represent the school body at the commencement exercises. Miss Gregory has earned the honor to be one of the seven to participate this year. She will have the honor to be crucifer at the baccalaureate exercises which will be held in the Bethlehem chapel in the National Cathedral.

Unadilla, July 16---The death of Mrs. Agnes A. Dickson of Unadilla, wife of county supervisor, William Dickson, occurred Wednesday noon at the Bainbridge hospital. For some time she has been in failing health and a resort to surgery for an internal goitre was finally made, but a weakened heart could not sustain her and she died during the operation.

Mrs. Dickson was born in Andes, June 18, 1877, the daughter of Thomas M. and Mary Spiers. She was graduated from the Andes High school and the Oneonta Normal. In securing her training she also spent summers at Cornell university and the Albany Teachers' college. Her services as a teacher have covered a period of 30 years. Five years more of teaching would have entitled her to the State Teacher pension.

During recent years she had been the teacher of the teacher's training class of this village, For the past 20 years, Mrs. Dickson and Mr. Dickson, to whom she was married in 1904, have made their home here. During this time Mrs. Dickson has been very active in many affairs. She was one of the loyal members of the Eastern Star. Most faithfully and efficiently, she served as a member of the federated board and superintendent of the Bible school of the Federated church, of which she was a member.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Dickson is survived by a sister, Mrs. D. W. Koulton, of Walton; three brothers, Charles M. Stiers of Andes; Carlton Stiers of Tuxedo; Frank Stiers of Easton, Pa,; the sister, Mrs. D. W. Koulton, of Walton, is touring through the west with her family.

The funeral service will be conducted at the home on Watson street, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. John T. Lyon, pastor of the Federated church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the family plot in the Andes cemetery.

Mrs. Dickson will be remembered for her courage, her devotion to her home; and her determination to accomplish the work at hand; her faithfulness and genial personality. It is impossible to reckon the lives she has influenced for good and for closer attention to the realities of life. A host of friends extend their sympathy to Mr. Dickson and the relatives.

Unadilla, April 12---Mrs. Albert Daniels, 82 years old, died Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ira Harrison. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Harrison home. Burial will be at Morris, Rev. John T. Lyon officiating

Mrs. Alice Gregory Daniels was born April 30, 1849, at Garrattsville. Her father was Andrew Gregory, her mother Rebecca (Smith) Gregory. Mrs. Daniels moved to New Lisbon when a small child and continued living there until 10 years after her marriage, which occurred 57 years ago. The balance of her married life was spent in the town of Butternuts.

She has been a most loyal member of the Gilbertsville Baptist church for over 45 years, and much beloved and respected in the community. In the past year that she has made her home in Unadilla, she has made many friends, who feel the influence of her Christian character.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William Wright of Frederick, Md., Mrs. Ira Harrison of Unadilla, and two sons, Frank Daniels and Leon Daniels of Gilbertsville, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Elvira Bolton of Cooperstown, Mrs. Jane Hendrix of Gilbertsville, Mrs. Theressa Carlton of New Lisbon, Mrs. Rosanna Wallace of Auburn, and two brothers, Leon Gregory of Laurens, and Andrew Gregory of Mt. Rosanna Foree of Unadilla, was united in marriage to Kenneth Griffen, also of Unadilla. The ceremony was performed in St. Matthew's Episcopal church by Rev. Yale Lyon, rector of St. Matthew's. Mrs. Belle T. Loomis presided at the organ.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Ernest L. Foree, was made a most attractive bride. She was attired in ivory satin and her veil was held in place by bands of bead trimming and orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of tea roses, and she carried a white silk handkerchief which her mother carried at her wedding 40 years ago.

Her attendant was Miss Louise Moore, sister of the groom, and her gown was of pink silk with a black lace jacket.

The ushers were Francis Griffen, a brother of the groom, and Webb Russ Lewis.

After the ceremony, a reception and luncheon was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Zollenger, uncle and aunt of the bride, after which the happy couple left for a honeymoon trip to Kentucky. On their return they will make their home in Unadilla.

There were many beautiful and appropriate wedding gifts, including silver, cut glass, china and linen. The bride's gift to the groom was a white gold watch, and groom's gift to the bride was a beautiful hand-made cedar chest.

The bride and groom are both popular young people, and their host of friends extend congratulations.

The out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Fowler of Sidney, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hinman of Mohawk, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams and two daughters, the Misses Barbara and Julia Williams, of New Berlin.

W. C. West Dies After Long Illness at Unadilla Home

Had Been for 40 Years Engaged in Feed Business at Stamford

and Unadilla—Brother of Foster West, Oneonta

Unadilla, Feb. 3---William C. West, for the past 14 years engaged in the feed business here and previous to that for more than 25 years in that same business at Stamford, died at his home in this village last evening at 9 o'clock following an extended illness with a complication of diseases. Mr. West had been in failing health for the past 20 months and for the last 18 weeks had been confined to his bed.

Funeral services will be held from the family home Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. John T. Lyon, pastor of the Federated church of Unadilla,

officiating. Burial will be made in Evergreen Hill cemetery. Masonic honors will be accorded by the Unadilla Masonic lodge and bearers will be members of the Oneonta Elks lodge, who are residents of the village.

William C. West was born, December 21, 1868, at Middleburg, the eldest son of Abram and Anna (Shaw) West. There he spent his boyhood and with the exception of a short time spent at Glens Falls had been engaged in the feed business in Stamford and Unadilla throughout his life. He was for more than 25 years engaged at Stamford, and in 1917 moved to Unadilla, where he had continued until last October, when he disposed of his business because of the condition of his health.

Mr. West had been for 30 years, a member of the Masonic fraternity, affiliating with the Stamford lodge, and of the Glens Falls lodge, B. P. O. E. He was a quiet, unassuming man of many admirable qualities and one held in high esteem throughout this vicinity.

March 27, 1895, he married Rose Pechtel of Glens Falls, who survives him, together with two sisters, Mrs. Elmer P. Cook and Mrs. Elwin Posson of Middleburg, and one brother, Foster West of Oneonta, survives him. To them the sympathy of wide circles of friends will be extended.

UNADILLA---Lester G. Wilson, of Bridge Street, Unadilla, a retired farmer, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 8, 1968, at Unadilla.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 12, at the Unadilla United Methodist Church, with Rev. George Kramer, Jr., pastor officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.

Mr. Wilson was born January 15, 1889, in New Lisbon, a son of George and Margaret (Bennington) Wilson. He married Myrtle Peck on July 2, 1913, in Unadilla.

He had lived in Unadilla for 14 years and formerly operated a farm at Garrattsville. At the time of his death he was a maintenance man for the Unadilla United Methodist Church and also for the Unadilla Post Office.

He was a member of the Ouleanna Grange, Seventh Degree, and the Official Board of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Hilts; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Grace B. Wilson; seven grandchildren; a niece, Mrs. Ray Parker, New Berlin RD; three grand-nieces; a brother -in-law, William Bennington, Garrattsville.

UNADILLA --- Mrs. Myrtle E. Wilson, 85, Unadilla, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 18, 1975, at Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta, following a short illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born March 16, 1890 at Trout Creek, a daughter-in of John W. and Elizabeth (Bundy) Peck. She married Lester G. Wilson on July 2, 1913 at Garrattsville. Mr. Wilson died October 9, 1968.

The Wilsons owned and operated a dairy farm in Garrattsville for approximately 36 years. Following their retirement in 1955, they made their home in Unadilla.

Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Unadilla High School, Class of 1909, and the training class of 1910. She taught school for several years.

She was a member of the Unadilla United Methodist Church; the WSCS; the WCTU, and was a former Sunday School teacher; a member of the Unadilla Senior Citizens Club; a former Seventh Degree member of Ouleanna Grange, and a member of Unadilla Grange.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Elizabeth) Hilts, Oneonta; a sister, Mrs. Mellin Hill, Delhi; a daughter -in-law, Mrs. Grace Wilson, New Lisbon; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral and committal services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, at the Unadilla United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert H. Darling, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be later in Evergreen Cemetery, Unadilla.

Unadilla, Dec. 31---Mrs. Emma (Peet) Brooks, wife of Irving W. Brooks, passed away at 9:45 a.m. this morning after several months illness of kidney trouble and heart disease. The funeral services will, following a prayer at the home for the family and relatives at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, be held at the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 o'clock, Rev. Frank R. James officiating. Interment will be made in Evergreen Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Brooks was born at Edmeston May 23, 1856, the daughter of Silas and Amelia Peet. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Guy W. Brooks of Buffalo, and Hugh P. Brooks of Scotia, one grandson, Donald Brooks of Scotia, one brother, Albert Peet of Edmeston, one sister, Mrs. H. A. Dresser of New Hartford, and several nieces and nephews. They will have the sympathy of many friends.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and Sunday school and of Freedom chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loyal devoted and a faithful worker, in each and never failed to attend the services of the church, and Sunday school as long as health would permit. Her loyalty to the Eastern Star was as true as to the church. She believed in the teachings of these and lived faithful to their ideals.

UNADILLA---Fay F Brooks, 64, of Ontio Heights, Unadilla, died unexpectedly Monday, June 22, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Joyce Funeral Home in Unadilla with the Rev. George Youngs, and the Rev. Clifford Webb officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Hills Cemetery, Unadilla.

Mr. Brooks was born February 9, 1906 in Bells, Tenn., the son of George B. and Leona Foote Brooks. He married Nina Wilson in Unadilla on December 23, 1955.

He was a lifetime resident of Unadilla, where he was the owner and operator of Brooks Machine Products.

Surviving besides his wife are; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Terpenning, Bloomington, Indiana; a son, Walter E. Brooks, Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, George Brooks, Unadilla, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at their convenience. The family will be in attendance Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
