Mrs. Edna Card

Garrattsville---Mrs. Edna Miller Card, 63, died January 11 at Fox Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Houck-Johnston Funeral Home, Edmeston.

The Rev. Wilfred Lyon, pastor of the Garrattsville Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Butternut Valley Cemetery, Garrattsville.

Mrs. Card was born March 4, 1899, in Unadilla, the daughter of Charles and Nettie (Wright) Saunders.

She married Theron Miller. He died in 1925. She married W. Ray Card on Oct. 4, 1932.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Clyde Miller, Garrattsville; two stepsons, Roland Card, Oneonta; Harold Card, Burbank; four brothers; Archie, Gilbertsville; Lloyd, Morris; Orla, Morris; Glenn, Garrattsville and several nieces and nephews.

Addendum: I transcribed the newspaper clipping as written. Some spellings are incorrect and that would be Garrattsville, not Butternuts in the Funeral Notice.

There is a Find A Grave memorial at Butternut Valley Cemetery, Otsego County as well as for her husband and many others with the name of Card.
