MORRIS---Mrs. Elsie L. Cook, 80, of 16 South Broad
Street, Morris, a native of the the Town of New Lisbon, died
unexpectedly Wednesday, June 4, after being stricken at her home.
She was born March 20, 1895 in the Town of New
Lisbon, Otsego County, a daughter of Charles and Ida (Collar) Ball.
She was married to Harry Cook who died several years ago.
She had spent most of her adult life in the Morris
area and had been a resident of the Village of Morris for almost 40
years. She had formerly worked in several Morris homes.
She was a long-time member of Zion Episcopal Church,
Morris.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ceylon (Grace)
Toombs, Laurens, and Mrs. Thomas (Bernice) Livingston, Glens Falls,
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at
the Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta with the Rev. William J. Mathers,
rector of Zion Episcopal Church, Morris, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
Friends may call at their convenience after 7 p.m.,
Thursday, all day Friday and until service time Saturday.
The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m.,
Friday.
