Morris Girl Weds Lowville Music Instructor
Morris, July 27---Miss Mary Smith, assistant in the
Morris National bank, and Lewis B. Shattuck, instructor in music at
Lowville High school, were united in marriage at 1 o'clock Saturday
afternoon at Zion church here. Miss Mabel Grafton played the wedding
march.
The bridal party included Carl Smith, brother of the
bride, together with his wife and daughter. The mother, an aunt and
a cousin of the bridegroom, all of Binghamton, were also present.
Following the simple service in the church, the party drove to Mr.
Smith's home, where a wedding reception was held and a luncheon was
served Many friends of the young couple were present to extend
congratulations and good wishes.
The numerous beautiful and useful wedding gifts that
were received also showed the regard in which Mr. and Mrs. Shattuck
were held by their acquaintances. Following a 10-day wedding trip
the couple will be at home in Lowville, where their residence is
already furnished.
