Hold Funeral Services For Mrs. F. G. Leonard

Well Known Morris Resident, Wife of Rev. Leonard,
Died Friday Evening, After Long Illness

Morris, May 17---Funeral services for Mrs. F. G. Leonard, who died Friday evening, after a long illness, were held at the Universalist church yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were largely attended. Rev. Hugh S. Tigner, pastor of the Chapin Memorial Universalist church in Oneonta, officiated. The committal service of the Order of Eastern Star was used at the grave. Mrs. Leonard was an officer of the organization.
The pall bearers were F. B. Kellogg, Harry Sargeant, Benjamin Stebbins, and Charles Harrington.
Born, January 20, 1853, the daughter of Solomon and Marie (Porter) Marsh, she was educated at Gilbertsville academy. She married George M. Colvin of Morris in 1880. He died, April 5, 1903. Five years later, June 20, 1908, she married Rev. Leonard, pastor of the Universalist church here.
Surviving are her husband and three sisters, Mrs. Franklin Harris of Morris, Mrs. George Stebbins, Mrs. Ira Davis of Gilbertsville, and one nephew, Benjamin Stebbins of Gilbertsville. Esteemed by a host of friends, Mrs. Leonard's loss will be sincerely mourned.
Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kellogg of Northport, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrington, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Stebbins, Miss Mary Hurlburt of Gilbertsville, Mrs. Telfer and Mrs. Fitch of Burlington Flats, Charles Breffle and Mrs. Amy Breffle of Oneonta and Miss Nellie Reynolds of Garrattsville.
