Mrs.
Bertha E. Sargent
GILBERTSVILLE---Mrs. Bertha E. Sargent, 76, of
Gilbertsville died suddenly Thursday, December 12 in Fox Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 15 in the
First Presbyterian Church, Gilbertsville. The Rev. Roger L. Beach
will officiate.
Burial will be later in Brookside Cemetery,
Gilbertsville.
Mrs. Sargent was born Dec. 4, 1884 in Neversink, a
daughter of John and Sarah (Curry) Everett.
She was married to Ansel T. Sargent in Liberty
October 18, 1911.
She lived her entire life on the family farm in
Gilbertsville.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,
Gilbertsville; the Butternut Valley Garden Club; Butternut Valley
Grange and the Women's Relief Corps, Gilbertsville.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Everett
Sargent, 58 Woodside Ave., Oneonta; one brother, William Everett,
Melbourne, Fla. And two grandchildren, Laura and Francis Sargent,
Oneonta.
