Garrattsville Woman Dies in Hospital Here

New Lisbon---Mrs. Adell Myers of Garrattsville, widow of George B. Myers, died at 8:50 yesterday morning in Fox hospital, Oneonta, where she had been a medical patient three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 from the family home, Dr. C. E. Vermilya of Greene, assisted by Rev. L. E. Pitkin of Morris, officiating. Interment will be made in Hillington cemetery, Morris.
She was born Jan. 12, 1862, in Pittsfield, a daughter of George and Emily (Card) Harrington, and April 9, 1891, was married to Mr. Myers. They lived for 40 years on the farm where the family now resides. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Morris Baptist church, was a woman of fine personality and devoted to her home and family.
Surviving are a son, Lee Myers, who resides at home; two grandsons, Corp. Robert Myers, stationed in Sicily, and Willard Myers, at home, and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Myers died Aug. 23, 1940, and a son Wilbur, was killed 41 years ago.

"GARRATTSVILLE - Mrs. Adell Myers, widow of George Myers, died Wednesday morning, March 22nd, at the Fox hospital in Oneonta, following an illness of several weeks. She was born January 12, 1862, in Pittsfield, a daughter of George and Emily (Card) Harrington. She was married to Mr. Myers on April 9, 1891 and they lived for forty years on the farm where the family now resides. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Morris Baptist church and a tireless worker, devoted to her home and family. Surviving are one son, Lee Myers, who lives at home; two grandsons, Corp. Robert L. Myers, in Sicily, and Willard Myers at home; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Myers died August 23, 1940, and another son, Wilbur, died forty-one years ago ... New Lisbon---Funeral of Mrs. Adell Myers, who died at Fox hospital Wednesday, was held at the home, Garrattsville, Saturday, and was attended by many relatives and friends. Dr. C. E. Vermilya, Greene, a close friend of the family had charge, assisted by Rev. L. E. Pitkin, Morris Methodist church.
Flowers in abundance were from family, relatives, individuals, WSCS, Morris Baptist church of which she was a member, OES Birthday club, and a neighborhood piece.
The bearers were six nephews: George Dockstader, William Dockstader, Glenn Dockstader, J. E. Lunn, Howard Lunn, and Roy Gilbert.
Friends from out-of-town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dibble, Richfield Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Raymond and three children, Rensselaer; Mrs. Ann Pickering, Morris; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Lunn and Howard Lunn, Oneonta; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Docstader, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hopson, Edmeston; George Dockstader, and daughter, West Burlington."
