Frank J. Warren
MORRIS — Frank J. Warren, 100, formerly of Morris, died Sunday, May 9, 1999, at The Meadows in Middlefield.He was born in Brooklyn on June 30, 1898, the son of Henry Clay Warren and Mary (Burns) Warren.
He was first married to Madeline in June of 1931, and she died in December of 1938. He was then married to Catherine in April of 1943, and she died Jan. 31, 1996.
He was employed with the United States Postal Service at the New Lots Station until his retirment in 1954. He was then employed by several architectural firms after his retirement from the postal service.
He served his country during World War I in the United States Army.
He and his wife had resided in the Morris area since 1965.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Morris Grange and the Butternuts Valley Senior Citizens Club.
Frank is survived by two sons, Robert Warren and his wife, Veronica, of Smithtown and Allen Warren and his wife, Margaretta, of Ft. Worth, Texas; two stepsons, Donald Link and his wife, Clair, of Mollusk, Va., and Kenneth Link and his wife, Barbara, of Davie, Fla.; grandchildren, Robert John Warren, Linda Hatanaka, Christopher Warren, Deborah Warren, Douglas Warren, Bonnie Neal, Steven Warren, Lori Stevenson, Denise Warren, Donald Link Jr., Diana Garbey, David Link, Raymond Link, Keith Link, Cindy Lopes, Christopher Link and Julie Norman; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 13, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris, with the Rev. Morris Dwyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery in Queens on Friday, May 14, 1999, at 1 p.m. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home, Morris.
