Jennie W. Bartholomew
GILBERTSVILLE --- Jennie W. Bartholomew, 70, died
October 23 at Sidney Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral will be held October 26 at 2 p.m. In Christ
Episcopal Church, Gilbertsville, the Rev. Ames Wolfe officiating.
An OES service will be held at her Gilbertsville home
at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
She was born Oct. 6, 1890, in New Lisbon, the
daughter of Charles and Louisa (Turner) Walter.
She was married to Harry Bartholomew of Whitehall
March 30, 1930. They lived in Friendship for some time. He died in
1932.
She has been a resident of Gilbertsville for 22
years. She was a member of Christ Church, Butternuts Chapter, OES
and of Tianderah Chapter, DAR, Butternut Valley Garden Club, the
Woman's Relief Corps, the New York Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by two nephews, Clarence A. Walter,
Schenectady, and Norman S. Walter of Garrattsviulle, and one niece,
Marian Walter, Garrattsville.
Friends may call at her home Tuesday evening.
