Shirley Hollenbeck

GILBERTSVILLE — Shirley Hollenbeck, 51, of Gilbertsville, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
She was born Dec. 26, 1949, in Oneonta, the daughter of William and Wanda Cane.
She was a graduate of Morris Central School and the Otsego Area School of Practical Nursing.
The loving and kind organization and staff of the Catskill Area Hospice had employed her until her death. They have always given faithful support to her during times of sickness and the family appreciates this loving kindness.
Shirley was a born-again and faithful Christian to the Lord's service and a member of the West End Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hollenbeck, of Gilbertsville; her daughters, Laura Weill and Victoria Ouimet; a son, Robert Hollenbeck Jr., all of Oneonta; three grandchildren, April Weill, Jennifer Hollenbeck and Hannah Ouimet. Her mother, Wanda Predmore of North Norwich; a brother, William Cane of Oneonta; and a sister, Barbara Cane of North Norwich also survive her.
Our heart-felt thanks goes out to each one who has, and will continue to support, our family.
Visitation was held Sunday evening and funeral services will be Monday, July 30, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the West End Community Baptist Church, 128 Winney Hill Road, Oneonta, with the Rev. Keith Vandewerker officiating. A fellowship gathering will be held after the funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to the Catskill Area Hospice, 542 Main St., Oneonta, N.Y. 13820 in Shirley's memory.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
