MORRIS — Scott D. Arlin Sr., 40, of Morris, formerly of Oneonta R.D., died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
Born Dec. 11, 1960, in Amityville, Long Island, Scott grew up in South Farmingdale where he graduated high school and was a volunteer firefighter, and received a dietary degree from Adelphi University.
He married Christine J. Austin on Aug. 12, 1982, in Lindenhurst.
Scott moved to Oneonta in 1992, where, before his failing health, he was employed on the maintenance staff at SUCO, was a member of the C.S.E.A., and had been a Morris resident for the past two years.
Surviving are his wife, Christine J. Arlin; a daughter, Nicole Arlin; two sons, Scott Jr. and Sean Arlin; a grandson, Maxwell, all of Morris; his mother, JoAnne Arlin of Farmingdale; a sister, Donna Thomsen of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, John, of Farmingdale, and Craig Arlin, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; his father-in-law, Hilliard Austin of Morris; and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call today (Tuesday) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. when the family will be in attendance at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home in Delhi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the West Davenport Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Jeffrey Staples, with burial following in the Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
Arrangements are entrusted to Robert A. Peet & Son, Delhi.
