James F. Musson
GILBERTSVILLE — James F. Musson, 84, of Gilbertsville died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta.He was born Feb. 23, 1915, in the town of Butternuts, the son of Donald F. Musson and Lucy (Daniel) Musson.
He married Mary Walton on Nov. 1, 1938, in Sidney.
He worked as a union carpenter with Local Union 258 for over 30 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a lifelong area resident and had been a former member of the Eagle Hose Company of Gilbertsville. He was also a member of the Gilbertsville Baptist Church.
James is survived by his wife, Mary; his companion, George V; one son, Edward Musson; two daughters, Elizabeth Kiel and Lucille Davis; two sisters, Theresa Rudnitski and Louise Richards; and one brother, Albert Musson.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Robert Musson.
A memorial service will be held at the Gilbertsville Baptist Church on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Randolph Palada officiating.
There will be no calling hours and his final resting place will be in the Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to the Gilbertsville Baptist Church in his memory.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
