NORWICH — Anna P. Hickling, 73, of Norwich and formerly of Edmeston died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
She was born April 5, 1927, the daughter of Millard and Ardath (Calhoun) Hendrickson.
On Aug. 17, 1949, she married Dorr Hickling Jr. He predeceased her on Nov. 29, 1980.
With her husband, she ran the family dairy farm and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Anna is survived by her companion, Lee Cummings of Norwich; her children, Linda Ingber of West Winfield, Tim Hickling of DeLancey and Diane May of Maine; five grandchildren; her mother, Ardath Hendrickson of Chase Memorial Nursing Home; her brothers and sisters, Harriet Simons, Danny Hendrickson, Judy Stage, Sarah Jennison and Willard Hendrickson.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Leland, Paul and Tom Hendrickson; and sister, Evelyn Johannesen.
Funeral services for Anna will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, with the Rev. John Buskey officiating. Interment will follow at the Edmeston Union Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Oct. 30, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are by the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston.
