Zeland Boice
NEW BERLIN---Zeland P. Boice, 59, of the Town of Pittsfield, died
Thursday, September 26, at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, after a
short illness.
He was born June 1, 1915, in the Town of New Lisbon, a son of
Frank and Leona (Brooks) Boice. In October 1941, he married Rosie
Harden. Mrs. Boice died June 25, 1947.
Mr. Boice was a dairy farmer all of his life, and was a World War
2 veteran.
He is survived by two sons, William F. Boice, Delhi, and Zeland
S. Boice, New Berlin RD; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Candee) Hasbrouck,
West Coxsackie; five grandchildren; two brothers, Hiram Boice,
Bainbridge and Arthur J. Boice, New Berlin, and a sister, Mrs. Edward
Gale, East Guilford.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28, at the
Dakin funeral Home, New Berlin, with the Rev. Dwight Kenyon, pastor
of the Berean Baptist Church, New Berlin, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery, Morris.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.,
Friday.
