Mrs.
Grace M. Augur
HARTWICK---Funeral services for Mrs. Grace M. Augur, 88, of
Hartwick, will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 20, at the Hartwick
Christian Church, with the Rev. Gerald Holmes, pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Hartwick Cemetery.
Mrs. Augur died Monday, January 17, at Bassett Hospital,
Cooperstown, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.
She was born August 20, 1883 in the Town of New Lisbon, a
daughter of Dorrence and Mary (Mack) Talbut. She was married to
George Milton Augur of Hartwick.
Mrs. Augur attended the former Oneonta Normal School after
which she taught in the grade schools in Puerto Rico and in the Texas
School and the Lena School in the Town of New Lisbon.
She was a long time resident of Hartwick; a member of the
Hartwick Christian Church; the WCTU and the Garden Club of
Leonardsville.
Surviving are a brother, Dr. Benjamin Talbut of Ft. Lauderdale,
Fla.; two nephews, Richard Talbut, Leonardsville, and Dr. Dorrence
Talbut, Toledo, Ohio; a niece, Miss Mary Talbut, Larkspur, Calif.;
two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Talbut, Toledo, and Mrs. Rosa Talbut,
Ft. Lauderdale.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at the
Patterson Funeral Home, Hartwick.
The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
