MORRIS — Gladys M. Lamb, 95, formerly of Morris, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at the Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin, where she had been a resident for the past five years. She was born in Earlville on June 6, 1906, the daughter of Clyde and Lula (Bixby) Southwick Sr.
She married Earl Jenks Lamb in Morris on Dec. 25, 1927. He died in February of 1970. She was a life-long Morris resident.
Gladys is survived by four children, John Lamb and his wife, Betty, of West Palm Beach, Fla., Lula Lund and her husband, Raymond, of New Berlin, Albert Lamb and his wife, Janice, of Keysville, Fla., and Louis Lamb and his wife, Karen, of Schuyler; her brother, Clyde Southwick Jr., and his wife, Alice, of New Berlin; and a sister, Clara Murphy, of Prattsville. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Two sons, Earl William Lamb and Donald Larry Lamb, and two sisters, Alice Gardner and Charlotte Holden, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnston Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Buskey officiating.
Committal services and burial will be in the Hillington Cemetery in Morris.
Calling hours will be on Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
