MILFORD CENTER — Mrs. Nadine Grace Couse, 64, of Milford Center, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1937, in Burlington Green, a daughter of Hanford and Lillian (Clum) Richards.
Nadine attended schools in Hartwick.
She married Glenn Couse on July 24, 1954.
Mrs. Couse spent most of her time raising her family, but did work at the Upstate Home for Children for 10 years. She and her family have resided in Milford Center for the past 35 years.
Nadine enjoyed crocheting, holidays with family and friends and devoted herself to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Glenn; a daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Dennis White of Laurens; four sons, Donald Couse of Portlandville, David and Mary Couse of Unadilla, Dennis Couse of Oneonta and Dale Couse and Ruth of Milford; three grandsons, David and Phil Couse of Richmond, Va., and Shawn Callahan of Oneonta; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn Jacobs of Cherry Valley, Wanda Aney of Milford Center and Betty and Walter Wahl of Madison; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Maryann Richards of Oneonta and Neil and Dorothy Richards of Milford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carlon Richards.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Robert Kazinski, pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church, officiating.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford from 7 to 9 p.m., when the family will be in attendance.Burial will be in the spring in the Milford Center Cemetery.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.
