Mrs. Leona Boice, 70, In Daughter's Home

GARRATTSVILLE---Mrs. Leona Boice, 70, widow of Frank Boice, died July 9, 1955, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Gale, 302 Hartford Pl., Utica, after a long illness.

Mrs. Boice was born in New Lisbon, N. Y., Aug. 15, 1884

a daughter of the late Charles and Renee Iola Jackson Brooks. Her marriage to Mr. Boice took place in Garrattsville, Feb. 21, 1909, and they lived there for more than 50 years. Mr. Boice died May 23, 1953. She was a member of the Garrattsville Methodist Church. Since the death of her husband she had made her home with her daughter.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Gale; three sons, Zeland Boice, Garrattsville; Hiram, Sherburne, and Arthur Boice, New Berlin; six grandchildren and several cousins.

The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Houk Funeral Home, Edmeston, with the Rev. Wilfred Lyons, Morris, N. Y., officiating. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery.
