THURSTON-KLINDT
-------------------------
A
very pretty wedding was solemnized in the Baptist church at Corinth,
last Saturday, June 30, at one o'clock in the afternoon, when Vera
Thurston of New Lisbon was untied in marriage to Viggo Klindt of
Portlandville in the presence of invited friends of bride and groom.
They
were unattended.
Following
the ceremony and congratulations, a wedding luncheon was served at
the home of Mrs. John Cranston, and later the happy couple started on
an extended wedding trip through the western part of the state. Upon
their return they will reside at Portlandville where the groom has a
position in McLaury's garage.
The
bride is a daughter of Mrs. Lucy Thurston, of New Lisbon, a graduate
of Morris High school and training class, and of the Oneonta Normal,
and for the past eight years has been a successful teacher, having
taught at Corinth for the past three years.
Mrs.
Klindt has many friends who unite in wishing her a long and happy
wedded life.
The
news article spelled his name Vitgo which I have changed to Viggo
because that is the spelling I've seen on his obituary and otherwise.
