GILBERTSVILLE — Marie Z. McKenna, 94, of Gilbertsville, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Chase Nursing Home in New Berlin.
She was born April 14, 1908, in Hoboken, N.J., the daughter of Francis and Mary (Hayes) Zeller.
She was married to Stephen P. McKenna in 1932, in the St. Michael's Monastery in Union City, N.J. Stephen died in October of 1973.
She was employed by Bristol-Meyers for many years and more recently was employed by Norwich Furniture Inc., retiring in 1973.
She had formerly resided in Ridgefield, N.J., in her younger years.
A daughter, Patricia Stensland and her husband, Mike, of Gilbertsville; five grandchildren, Linda Holt, Diane Stensland, Michele Birdsall, Michael Stensland and Stephen D. McKenna, survive her. She was also blessed by nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Stephen McKenna.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 28, 2002, at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Morris, with the Rev. John Burns officiating.
Committal service and burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
