BUTTERNUTS — Carla Jane Stebbins, 36, of the town of Butternuts, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
She was born July 6, 1965, in Oneonta, the daughter of George Fitch and Jean (Stensland) Fitch.
She married B. Jay Stebbins in Plymouth, on Jan. 1, 1996.
She was employed as a machine operator and assembler at the Burt Rigid Box Inc. of Oneonta.
She enjoyed gardening and her family and friends.
Carla is survived by her husband, B. Jay Stebbins, of Gilbertsville; her sons, Levi Turner Stebbins and Benjamin Jessie Stebbins, both at home; her mother, Jean Stebbins of Gilbertsville; a brother, Robert Fitch and his fiancee, Amy Johnson; several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces; and her extended family at Burt Rigid Box; and a special friend, Joannie.
Her father, George Fitch, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2002, at the Gilbertsville Baptist Church in Gilbertsville, with the Rev. Randolph Palada and the Rev. Scott Harding officiating.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris.
Burial and committal services will be in the Butternuts Valley (Copes Corners) Cemetery in the town of Butternuts.
Friends are invited back to B. Jay Stebbins' home following the services.
