Cook E. Edgerton
FRANKLIN---Cook E. Edgerton, 89, of Delhi Stage, a retired dairy
farmer, died Saturday, July 13, 1968, at Fox Hospital following an
extended illness.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Bennett Funeral Home,
Franklin, with Rev. Gene Black, pastor of the Franklin United
Methodist church, officiating.
Burial was in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
Mr. Edgerton was born January 23, 1879, at Pittsfield, a son of
George and Mary (Whiteman) Edgerton. He was twice married. He
married Josie Gager at East Sidney on January 2, 1901. She died in
1938. On June 24, 1944, he married Lillian Hagerborne of Cobleskill
who died in 1958.
He was a dairy farmer both at East Sidney and Cobleskill.
Mr. Edgerton was a former member of the Unadilla IOOF lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) O'Brien of Delhi
Stage; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Foote of Oneonta; a brother, Paul
Edgerton of Morris; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Emma Edgerton of
Gilbertsville; a stepson, Carlton Chase, Syracuse; and several
step-grandchildren.
