ONEONTA-KATHRYN S. PARK; Kathryn S. Park, 90, passed away peacefully on
September 26, 2013 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital. She was born in
Gilbertsville on April 8, 1923 to the late Archie and Emily (Halbert)
Saunders. Kathryn graduated from Gilbertsville Central School. She
married Walter D. Park in September of 1954. She was employed by
Scintilla where she met her husband. Once they started their family she
became a homemaker. Her family meant the world to her. She loved to cook
and bake and was known for her delicious pies. She will be dearly
missed by her friends and family. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband
Walter Park. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary and Donald
Haynes, her son Walter and Rhonda Park, her daughter Jean and William
Hoag. She is also survived by grandchildren James (Kathy) Ellis,
Richmond (Wendy) Ellis, Rochelle Bellamy, Walter (Lauren) Park, Brittany
Park, Courtney Park, Joshua (Stephanie) Taylor and Brett (Abbie)
Taylor, several great grandchildren and her brother Norman Saunders. At
her request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Friends
and family are invited to a celebration of life in her honor on Friday,
October 4, 2013 at the VFW, West Main Street, Sidney, NY from 2:30- 6:30
P.M.
