Edward V. Krupp

GARRATTSVILLE — Edward Victor Krupp, 54, (but he didn't look it) of Garrattsville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003.
He was born Nov. 10, 1948, in Teaneck, N.J., the son of Edward Victor Krupp Sr. and Pearl K. (Paulson) Krupp.
He married Mary Fusco on Sept. 14, 1985, at their home in Garrattsville.
He was president of Co-optics of America in Oneonta. He was a past member of the "Toastmasters" of Oneonta and Norwich. He was a member of the Thursday Night Bowling League (Fatman Computers Team) at Holiday Lanes. He had coached "The Bantams," a youth bowling league for the past 12 years.
He was a dedicated runner and participated in many area races, the most recent being the "Pit Run" finishing with a time of 50.59.
He will be sadly missed by his business partners and employees and his many contacts in the optical industry.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, of Garrattsville; his children, Marlana Marie Krupp at home, and Joseph Jerome. His sisters, Elaine Kallio of Fairfax, Va., Margaret Galvin and her husband, Tom of Merrimack, N.H., Karen Price and her husband, Bill of Chester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; one of the nieces who was like a daughter to him was Joanna Donofrio.
He was predeceased by a sister, Anne Rotondo.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 12 Ford Ave., Oneonta.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to the Garrattsville Emergency Squad in his memory.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
