GARRATTSVILLE — Geraldine Bundy, 98, of Garrattsville, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
She was born July 1, 1900, the daughter of John F. and Bessie (Tyler) Bundy.
Geraldine attended the Oneonta Normal School and taught in the areas local One Room School House, until centralization. During the war she was employed by Scintilla in Sidney. Later Geraldine was a seamstress for the Dietz Street Dress Factory in Oneonta, until her retirement. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Geraldine is survived by her nieces, nephew and their spouses, Betty and LeRoy Polling of Palm Bay, Fla., Barbara and Vernon Bunn of Utica and Donald and Doris Hull of Garrattsville; several cousins; and a special friend, Shirley Swan.
She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Hull, in August 1998.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 1999, at 2 p.m. at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, with Pastor Bill Lyon officiating. Calling hours are two hours prior to the service. Interment will be later in the spring at Edmeston Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Geraldine's memory to the Garrattsville Emergency Squad.
Arrangements are by Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston.
