West
Oneonta Woman Dies
Mrs. Julia H. Loudon, 69, longtime West Oneonta
resident, died yesterday in Fox Hospital after an illness of some
three weeks.
Prayer services will be held Wednesday morning in the
Bookhout Funeral Home, 257 Main St., followed by a 10 a. m. Requiem
Mass to be celebrated in St. Mary's Roman Catholic church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
Mrs. Loudon was born Nov. 14, 1883 in Clinton
Corners, Duchess County, daughter of Thomas and Anna (McMahon)
Hamilton. She was married to Eugene Loudon in Binghamton on Sept.
20, 1930 and had lived in West Oneonta since.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church in
Poughkeepsie.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Ralph
Loudon, now with the U. S. Naval Station in the Panama Canal Zone; a
brother, John Hamilton, Cortland, and two grandchildren, Dennis and
Susan Loudon, Eatonville, N. J.
Friends may call at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357
Main St., until service time.
Julia Hamilton Louden was my 2x great aunt. I am trying to find where her parents (my 2x maternal great grandparents) are buried. I have been looking for years. I can only ssume they are in the same cemetery but have not yet been found. Thank you. Cherri Carter Felliws
