50th Anniversary
OXFORD --- Mr. and Mrs. Elbert S. Miller, of 15
Greene St., Oxford, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary on Thursday, February 5th. An open house was
held at their home for friends, relatives and neighbors. Both are
lifelong residents of Oxford, and Mr. Miller is a retired farmer.
They have three surviving children, Russell Miller
of Cazenovia, N. Y.; Mrs. Wenzel Roth of Encino, California; Mrs.
Wanda Heck of Binghamton, New York.
There are 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren,
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Out of town guests besides the children were Mr. and
Mrs. Clinton Gale of Albany; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gale of Sidney;
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Decker of Sidney; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Decker
of Greene; Mr. and Mrs. William Kuria of Binghamton; Gustave Heck
and Mrs. Rita Coddington of Binghamton.
Many cards and flowers were received by the Millers
and many of their friends and neighbors dropped in to congratulate
them on this anniversary.
