BINGHAMTON — Claudine M. Fields, 84 years, of Binghamton and Port Orange, Fla., and formerly of Oneonta, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.
She was born July 26, 1917, in Morris, the daughter of Hugh and Lillian (Weatherly) McKnight.
She married Harry Fields Sr. on Aug. 20, 1936, in West Laurens.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harry Fields Sr.; her five children and their spouses, Barbara and Don Tripp, Bette and Dick Utter, Harry and Pat Fields Jr., Joyce and Scott Haight and Ginny Spry; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; her sister and her husband, Hazel and Lloyd Geisler; two sisters-in-law, Frances Beagle and Evelene Sheldon; and one brother-in-law, Cecil and Liz Field; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claudine was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Henry.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Fred Albrecht, pastor of the Otego United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery, Oneonta.
The family will be present at the funeral home from noon until service time on Wednesday, for those who wish to call.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of one's choice in loving memory of Claudine M. Fields.
Funeral arrangements are by Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta.
