SIDNEY --- Mrs. Laura C. Spencer, 88, of 37 Smith
St., Sidney, died Thursday, November 25 at The Hospital Sidney after
a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday,
November 27, at St. Paul's episcopal Church, Sidney, with the Rev.
Irving F. Ballert Jr., rector, officiating.
Burial will be later in Prospect Hill Cemetery,
Sidney.
Mrs. Spencer was born Nov. 15, 1883 at Trout Creek,
the daughter of Alonzo and Ada (Fritts) Chamberlain. She was married
to William G. Spencer, March 4, 1914. He died in October 1954.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church,
Sidney, and the Unahanna Rebekah Lodge no. 213, Sidney.
Mrs. Spencer is survived by four daughters, Mrs.
Harriette Hayes of Sidney, Mrs. Margaret Grant of Kelly Corners,
Mrs. May Nichols of Ilion, and Mrs. Elizabeth Allen of Fairport; a
brother, Fred Chamberlain of Claremont, Calif.; nine grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
Friends may call at St. Paul's Episcopal Church,
Sidney at their convenience after 1 p.m. Friday. The family will be
in attendance 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral arrangements are by the C. H. Landers
Chapel Sidney.

The spelling of her name should be Lura instead of Laura.
