Porter Succumbs
After Protracted Illness
New Lisbon, Oct. 15---Mrs. Dora Porter of
Burlington, widow of Floyd Porter, died at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Jerry Fralick, near the Brick schoolhouse, at 11:45 Wednesday
night after a long illness with a complication of diseases.
Funeral services will be held from the Fralick home
Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. C. E. Vermilya of Morris will
officiate, and interment will be in Union cemetery at Edmeston.
Dora Mae Chase was born in the town of New Lisbon
July 6, 1876, the daughter of Adelbert and Hannah (Card) Chase. She
was married to Floyd Porter of Burlington about 40 years ago. Their
married life was spent in Burlington, Edmeston, and New Lisbon.
A woman of pleasing personality, always kind and
thoughtful to others, she will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are the daughter: two sisters, Mrs. T. W.
Truesdell of Edmeston and Mrs. Daniel Bennington, of Garrattsville;
two brothers, Clayton Chase of Pittsfield and Fred Chase of Edmeston;
two nieces and three nephews.
