NEW LISBON – Earl L. Parker, 59, died January 21
at his home after an illness of two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m., Sunday, January
24, at Houk-Johnston Funeral Home, Edmeston, the Rev. Wilfred Lyon,
pastor of Garrattsville Methodist church, officiating. Burial will
be in Edmeston Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Parker was born May 27, 1900, in the town of
Pittsfield, the son of David and Mary (Pudney) Parker. He attended
school in Pittsfield and Mount Upton. He married Thena Teed, Oct.
15, 1929.
He was a member of the Butternut Valley Rod and Gun
Club, the Farm Bureau and the Production Farm Credit. He was a
member of the Methodist Church in Garrattsville.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Roger E.,
Morris, Ronald E., New Lisbon and Dale, at home; a daughter,
Barbara Prindle, Morris; a grandchild, David Earl Parker; one
brother, Stanley Parker, Norwich; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Prindle,
Ovid, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the funeral home at their
convenience.
