NEW LISBON — Violet D. Knight, 77, of New Lisbon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2002.
She was born in Maryland on Nov. 23, 1924, the daughter of Jay I. and Bessie (Ingerham) Knight.
She had lived near Gilbert Lake for the past 57 years.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Knight; and her brother, Jay Knight and his wife, Dorothy, all of New Lisbon. She is also survived by her aunt, Beatrice Folnsbee of Cold Brook; and several cousins.
Both of her parents predeceased her.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at the Living Water Faith Fellowship Church, 7 Lewis St. in Oneonta, with the Rev. Ken. Brookens officiating.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Bassett Hospital, The Meadows and the Catskill Area Hospice for their kindness and concern.
Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
